Susan Brumbaugh

Hi! I’m Susan Brumbaugh. Being Mindful is a channel I created to share mindfulness meditation practices. I upload recordings of virtual mindfulness meditation sessions every Monday and Friday. I hope you’ll consider subscribing and watching future videos as well.

I enjoy sharing mindfulness practices with people who are SEARCHING for ways to be more present and engaged with their lives, STRUGGLING with anxiety, fear, stress, depression, and difficult situations or emotions, LOOKING for strategies to stay grounded and anchored, or ON A JOURNEY of self-awareness and improvement.

I offer guided meditations on various topics, as well as teachings on mindfulness. My meditations differ from many on YouTube because they show a human face, helping you to feel less alone in your practice. I don’t rely on scripts for my meditations. I improvise based on whatever topic or struggle people bring to me.

I am a licensed mental health counselor, located in New Mexico (United States of America). I also lead criminal justice research projects at RTI International (https://www.rti.org/expert/susan-brum…). I use mindfulness meditation with clients and lead virtual sessions with work colleagues. I am trained in mindfulness-based stress reduction and enjoy sharing the tools I’ve learned with others.
